Meet Stacie

Stacie earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology at the University of Florida and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of North Florida. Over the past 14 years as a pediatric physical therapist, she has helped children of all ages with a variety of diagnoses primarily in outpatient setting, but has also worked in the school system and home health/early intervention.

For the past seven years, Stacie has found a passion for helping children accelerate their gross motor skills using intensive physical therapy. In fact, as the Director of TheraSuit at a private outpatient clinic, she developed and led a successful TheraSuit program after being certified in the TheraSuit Method in 2015. For the TheraSuit program, she mentored more than 15 therapists to grow the intensive strengthening program to offer it to more children in the community.

Stacie has also used interventions to target automatic postural responses for the past four years with formal Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) Introductory level A and B certification in 2022 and Introductory level C in April 2023.  And most recently, she received her certification in Intermediate A in October 2023. With using DMI techniques during her physical therapy intensives and treatments, she has witnessed significantly improved outcomes with the gross motor skills of her patients. Overall, she truly values with the use of intensive physical therapy to help children gain their next gross motor skill.

Stacie also advanced the treatment of toe walking in her clinical practice based on the principles of a continuing education course by Liesa M. Ritchie in 2018. Stacie presented on the successful outcomes at the pediatric outpatient clinic at a Pediatric Symposium in 2019.

For the past eight years, Stacie has performed screenings for torticollis for infants during a monthly head shape clinic with Dr. Pat Ricalde. In order to improve outcomes with infants with torticollis and other diagnoses, Stacie utilizes her Kinesio Taping certification.

In 2022, Stacie also became certified in Constraint Induced (CI) Therapy and looks forward to adding it to her intensive physical therapy practice.

Most of all, Stacie enjoys empowering families with education to help their child with their next gross motor milestone.
